New Subaru Wilderness
The Subaru Wilderness is not one of the models in our lineup. It is a trim model available with three of our different SUVs. It is the enhanced trim model for people who want to take their Subaru SUVs off of the pavement and out on back roads far from Fort Thomas.
What All Subaru Wilderness Trims Have in Common
Every Subaru Wilderness trim has off-road enhancements that make off-road exploring safer and more enjoyable. Each Wilderness trim model has nine or more inches of ground clearance and skid plates to protect the vehicle's undercarriage.
They all have standard all-wheel drive that puts more torque on wheels that are not slipping. The gearing is tweaked to provide impressive low-speed climbing. Enhanced driving modes give you better traction on dirt, snow, and mud.
All-terrain tires give you a better grip. The suspension is tuned to handle trails, and better approach and departure angles keep you from getting stuck on large obstacles. The upholstery is water-resistant, and you get beefy roof rails.
Subaru Crosstrek Wilderness
The Subaru Crosstrek Wilderness is the newest Subaru SUV to be off-road enhanced. The Crosstrek is a small crossover SUV with sporty looks. In the Wilderness trim, besides the off-road enhancements, the Crosstrek gets a more powerful engine in the form of an 182-horsepower 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine paired with a continuously variable transmission.
The Crosstrek's 17-inch black off-road wheels are fitted with Yokohama GEOLANDER tires for great grip and traction. Every Subaru Wilderness model gets special cladding on the exterior to defend your vehicle against what the dirt trails throw at you.
Subaru Forester Wilderness
The Subaru Forester Wilderness has an entirely different look. This compact crossover SUV is great for a family. It has a more upright and squared-off style. It also has more cargo space than the Crosstrek. This makes the Forester Wilderness the ultimate around-Erlanger and adventure vehicle for families who like to spend their time together outdoors.
Your Forester Wilderness, with its retuned gearing ratios, can perform low-speed climbing up to a 40 percent grade. The towing capacity for the Subaru Wilderness is up to 3,000 pounds. The Forester Wilderness has a full-sized spare wheel mounted with a GEOLANDER tire stored under the cargo space.
Subaru Outback Wilderness
The Subaru Outback Wilderness is a wagon-like SUV with sleek, rugged and sporty lines. It definitely turns heads around Cincinnati. Although the cargo capacity is similar, it is a bit longer and wider than the Forester. It is powered by a 260-horsepower turbocharged SUBARU BOXER engine and has up to 3,500 pounds of towing capability.
The roof rails will support up to 700 pounds so that you can try out a roof-top tent this summer. A matte-black stripe extends down the hood to keep the glare from the oncoming sun at bay. Geyser Blue is one of your color choices and is exclusive to the Wilderness lineup.
